Jesus could have been in a position of great power before it was His time if He would not have waited and obeyed God’s will (Mat 4:8-10 & Joh 6:15 c/w Heb 11:24-26). 2. Jesus left a place of great honor and wealth to sojourn in the place where He would receive a bride (2Co 8:9 & Eph 5:25-27 c/w Exo 2:15-21). 3. Jesus spent time in the wilderness prior to beginning His ministry to Israel (Mat 4:1 c/w Exo 3:1). 4. Jesus fasted for 40 days and nights (Mat 4:2 c/w Exo 34:28). 5. Jesus revealed the true God to His brethren the Israelites (Mat 11:27 c/w Exo 3:13-17). 6. Jesus stood up to the king and spoke truth to power (Luk 13:31-32 & Joh 18:33-38 c/w Heb 11:27 & Exo 5:1-3). 7. Jesus did miracles to prove that He was the deliverer sent from God (Act 2:22 c/w Exo 4:29-31). 8. Jesus delivered His people out of bondage (Heb 2:14-15 c/w Act 7:36 & Exo 13:3). 9. Jesus had power over the sea (Mar 4:39-41 c/w Exo 14:21-22). 10. Jesus went up into a mountain to commune with God (Luk 6:12 c/w Exo 19:2-3, 20). 11. Jesus lived by faith (Heb 11:6 & Joh 8:29 c/w Heb 11:23-29). 12. Jesus was with His church during their sojourning on the way to the promised land (Joh 13:33-35 c/w Act 7:38). 13. Jesus fed people miraculously (Joh 6:5-14) in a similar way that God fed Israel miraculously while Moses was their leader (Exo 16:14-15). 14. Jesus gives His children living water (Joh 4:10, 13-14; Joh 6:35; Rev 7:17), which is the antitype of Moses giving God’s children water in the wilderness (Exo 17:6 & Num 20:8-11 c/w 1Co 10:4). 15. Jesus got angry with stubborn sinners (Mar 3:5 c/w Exo 32:19).
